Curaçao Film Office

The Curaçao Film Office (CFO) was established in 2017­­ by the Ministry of Economic Development and is managed by the Film Commissioner, Mrs. Eloise van Wickeren. Please follow the Curaçao Film Office’s Facebook page or visit the Film Office website for more information.

The CFO has developed a film policy to sustain and develop the local film industry, that will also attract more international filmmakers to choose Curaçao as their next filming destination. We work to create more opportunities for our local filmmakers to tell their own stories and screen these at film festivals around the World. But we also work to get international productions to the Island where our local filmmakers can gain more experience.

The CFO is the first point of contact for international producers. We provide them with all the necessary information they need about filming in Curaçao and we can help expedite permits when needed.

The CFO has been a member of the Association for Film Commissioners International since November 2017. With this membership the CFO has a worldwide network of film offices to collaborate and strengthen our position with.

By requiring a registration for all film productions taking place on the Island the CFO collects important data to be able to analyze and quantify the industry.

The CFO maintains close relationships with local and international funding organizations and lobbies for them to be accessible to filmmakers from Curaçao.

The CFO organizes quarterly happy hours where the local film industry can come together to network and discuss current developments.

The CFO is currently working on an incentive for film productions.
